Have you ever been asked why you ride? What is your top reason for riding? Check out the list and let me know if you have anything to add!

25 Reasons to Ride a Motorcycle

You are the only female motorcyclist people know. Maybe not the only one, but I’m sure your name comes up when they see another motorcyclist, especially a lady rider.

To be able to fly without wings. You know what I mean when you are riding down the open road, that feeling of flying. Exhilarating.

Save on gas compared to driving the cage (a.k.a car). There really is no comparison in mileage or cost. Less of an environmental impact too!

It is a great workout. Especially on a windy day! Nothing like taking your first long ride and the next day feeling muscles you didn’t know you had!

Couples that ride together stay together. Having shared interests is always a great way to bond. Short trips, long trips and everything in between together is always better.

Experience the scenery. There are so many sights and smells that are missed when driving in a car. Take it all in when riding your motorbike.

Stress relief. No better way to de-stress than taking a deep breath, twist the throttle, and go for a ride.

Helmet hair, don’t care. Go ahead and side-eye me. We don’t care because we know what is on the inside is far more valuable than what is on the outside.

Feel the fear and do it anyway. Butterflies. You feel them every time you start the bike. You twist the throttle and away you go taking the butterflies with you! Eventually, they seem to free themselves!

You look cool. In all the gear you look cool. You do. ATGATT (All the Gear All the Time) is cool.

Because you can. We are in a class of our own. About 20% of all motorcyclists in the United States are female. Just think about that! Above average in every way!

Freedom. Freedom to make your own adventure riding solo or with friends. Sometimes it is not the destination but the journey. Go ride.

Thrill of the ride. Especially in riding through the twisty roads, or deserted highways or the concrete jungle of cities! Thrilling!

Every biker you meet is an instant friend. Motorcycling is common ground no matter your background. It is a judgement free zone filled with friendship.

Commuting becomes an enjoyable ride. Smiling at work because you know you will be taking the long way home on the motorbike.

To be a badass grandma. I threw that one in for me! Grandma or not we are pretty badass women!

Running for groceries just got fun! Seriously, with the right saddle bags, case, or luggage you can pack a lot!

Health benefits. A study showed that a 20 minute ride had the same benefits as a light workout.

Young or old you can ride. Some started early, but you are never too old to learn!

Breathe fresh air. There is nothing like it. All your senses come alive when you are riding!

No more riding pillion. You might have started here, but not anymore!

Every ride is a new story. It could be where you went, how you handled the bike, or who you rode with there is always a new story to tell!

Parking is easy. Narrow space? No problem! It is awesome when businesses provide “motorcycle” only spots.

Riding improves your mental health. When thoughts are swirling, riding focuses and clears your mind.

Respect. You know and you give it.
