Not my helmet, but thought it a great picture!

Happiness is…

Happiness is leaving with a full tank of gas and riding until it’s empty.

Happiness is coming home sopping wet … because I wore all my gear on a 90 degree day!

Happiness is when extraneous thoughts fade away … because you are focused on riding.

Happiness is having helmet hair and not caring!

Happiness is making new friends who share a passion for motorcycling!

Can you tell I was out riding today??

My name is Pam and I am so glad you stopped by today! I started this blog to document my journey into motorcycling and along the way I met so many other lady riders with inspiring stories to tell I began to share theirs as well.

About the same time I started this blog I joined Twitter (@helmetorheels) and began to meet other female motorcycle riders. These ladies were so inspiring to me because I found other newbies like me to life-long experienced riders who were willing to share encouragement, tips, and their friendship. I was welcomed where I was on my journey. What an incredible community I found online to fuel my desire to ride.

  1. Isn’t it great – the way riding makes you feel?! Hard to explain it to anyone who has never been on two wheels, felt the air rushing by and being part of the road and the moment, not just passing time as you do when riding in a car but really immersed in your surroundings. Love it! Sounds like you do too.

  2. I spent the whole wekend at a bike show, looking at bikes, talking bikes, helping with bikes, remembering bikes – and I rode there and back. Happy days!
