I Want to LOOK like a Woman on my Motorcycle!

Pam
Wife, mom, grandmother, motorcyclist, and blogger.

My first riding jacket is a man’s because I have long arms! I Want to LOOK like a Woman on my Motorcycle! Most women’s clothing usually runs short in the sleeves. I was willing to live with this …

I love Twitter … track with me here … because I found what I hope to be my future replacement jacket! I’d resigned myself to wearing ugly riding gear until I checked out @LAScooterGirls web site! I was smitten at first sight of their coats! Check out these pictures! They don’t sell directly to the public, but do have a list of brick n mortar as well as online dealers on their sight. These images are from Nobilivity.

  1. Pam, my 12 year old has fallen in love with these jackets. I have been communicating with Arlene, the owner of GoGoGear about getting Eden a jacket. I want my daughter to be safe on the bike, and look chic at school (tres important in middle school!), but she is growing so fast right now that we are going to wait at least 6 months and see if her growth spurt slows down a bit.

I can’t wait to hear what you think about the jackets; they are utterly gorgeous in the photos!

  2. They’re very cute – I’m not sure how practical they will be “at speed”. The wide-tabbed collars would surely whip you in the face, and those with uncinched sleeves may “balloon up” when the wind comes up through them. (Keep in mind, the “scooters” they’re showing are commuter machines – not for highway use.) Anyway, they’re adorable so I’ll be interested to hear how well they work! I also like the jacket you bought – you could make it a little more feminine with a girly patch of some kind on the back – I did that with a men’s bomber-style jacket and it really helped 🙂

    1. Thanks for the input! You’ve made some great points. I do want to see them in person rather than buying over the internet to check the details. In the mean time the jacket I purchase is very functional!!

  3. I’ve been following Arlene’s developing company over the past few months and bought the Military-style jacket in March. Love it! Great designs. Now I need a lighter weight one for warmer weather.
