How long have you been riding a motorcycle?

Since 1995

How did you learn to ride?

At a motorcycle driving school

What was your first motorcycle?

Moto Guzzi T850

How many have you owned?

Now I own my sixth motorcycle: Moto Guzzi T4 850, Honda CX 500, Honda VLX 400 Steed (Shadow), Honda VLX 600 Steed, 2001 Moto Guzzi California Jackal 1100, and now a 2006-os Harley-Davidson FLHX Street Glide

Why did you want to ride a motorcycle?

I had some friends who already rode, and also my dad drove a motorcycle when he was young.

Tell us about your riding.

It became my profession in the last few years. I started to work at the first biker lifestyle magazine in Hungary in 1995 called Born to be Wild. I worked there as a journalist for 12 years.

Most of my friends are with custombikes, choppersot cruisers, so I was involved in the same style. We have visited a lot of bike shows and parties, almost every weekend.

Afterwards I started my own site for female motorcycle riders in 2006. My site is called Csajokamotoron.hu, which means Girls on Motorbikes. From that time I started to visit motorcycle safety courses … one to two every year as a journalist.

I prefer motorcycle tours, long distances … that is why I chose the Street Glide last year.

What advice do you have for women who ride or want to ride a motorcycle?

We can do it! Never mind what men or your family say! Take a drivers safety course regularly, buy your protective gear. But never start riding a bike if you are afraid of it.

What is the longest trip that you’ve taken on your cycle?

Last year we went to Spain, which was 5900 km (about 3700 miles) in three weeks.

Do you belong to any motorcycle groups?

I belong to my own community, Csajokamotoron.hu πŸ™‚

Do you have a favorite riding story?

Well, I have a lot, but one of my first rides, when I just wanted to be a biker. One of my friends decided to teach me how to drive. I was the driver and he sat behind me. He told me how to start the bike, I shifted to first and then to second, and we rode around for a while.

But I was bored to just ride around, and said I want to stop. He said: β€œWell, than stop the bike.” I stopped the bike, but – he did not say to – I forgot to put my legs down. So we both fell to the ground together with the bike. Fortunately it was a kind of grassy field, so we were just lying and laughing with the bike on us.

What do you do when you’re not riding?

I am writing about it. And now I am waiting for my first baby… I think I will have to bear this season without driving.
